Education is an important part of life of a person. Everyone wants to get a good education. Just like a good Quran Teacher who helps students in better learning of the Holy Quran, a good school teacher plays an important role in educating the child well. Parents admit their children in the best school available so that they can get the required education in an effective manner and way. From the very beginning, parents start forcing their children to get good marks and choose the best possible field to build up their career. Although it is a good practice to tell children about their duties from the very beginning and guide them to the right way to obtain good marks in academics, but one must not force them too much on obtaining good marks.

What happens normally is that most parents set a specific target for their children, like you have to achieve a certain grade or get the required marks and when they fail to achieve the required goal or marks; they get scolded by their parents, which is not the right way. Do provide them with proper guidance and facilities which can help them in achieving their target, but do not force or pressurize them to get good results.
There is an unfortunate race going on in our society and people have set their standards so high that they do not want any grade less than A. People do not accept the average students. This type of education system does not look out for the best talent in the society; instead, they only look out for the grades. A bad grade or score does not mean that a person is not capable enough to perform any task, as some Presidents of the United States were also average student in their early childhood.
As they say, “first things first”; so is the case with Muslims as far as learning Holy Quran is concerned. This is because their Mighty Creator and the creator of the whole universe, i.e. Allah (SWT), and His Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instruct them greatly upon this.
This is because Allah Almighty has made Qur’an incomparable and exalted source of guidance for humanity, the one this is ordained to guide whole humanity rather than a particular group of people to the righteous path leading to Allah Almighty’s will.

The best way to determine the significance of Quran learning is to consult the words of Allah Almighty (Qur’an itself) and His beloved Apostle Muhammad’s (PBUH) words (Hadith). We proceed by quoting a relevant verse, followed by an appropriate hadhith highlighting the importance of learning Quran:
Al-Baqara [2:231] …..He sent down to you the book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.
Prophet Muhammad once said
“On the Day of Qiyaamah a crown of such brilliance will be placed on the heads of the parents of one who learnt the Qur’aan and practised on its laws, that its glitter will outshine the brilliance of the sun which penetrates your houses. What then do you think will be the position of the one who himself learnt the Qur’aan and acted in accordance with it?”(Ahmad and Abu Dawood)
May Allah (SWT) helps us with His special assistance in fulfilling one of the most important religious obligations of learning Quran and practicing our lives on the principles mentioned in it.
Unawareness was everywhere before Muhammad (p.b.u.h) but when our beloved prophet (p.b.u.h) came to this world, the Noor was spread everywhere. He was the first Quran Teacher in the entire world, although he was illiterate but when Allah reveled the last scripture in the shape of holy book called “Quran”; Allah sent this holy book by angel Jibril (A.S) who saved the whole Quran in Muhammad’s heart in the total period of 23 years when Muhammad (p.b.u.h) was at the age of forty.
There were few people who were sophisticated and they use to go to do business in different areas of Makah. They were almost seventeen in numbers who had some knowledge of reading and writing. The significance of education and knowledge of pen was told by Muhammad (p.b.u.h) to the people of Arab. The scholars of the entire world are astonished on this reality that Muhammad (p.b.u.h) had never take any class of education nor attended any lecture but still he is the best teacher and have the treasure of knowledge that nobody else have had.
The people of Arab got education in the guidance of prophet (p.b.u.h) that was the start of spreading the glow of education commonly in Arab. There are so many says of Allah in Quran that gives the witness that he was sent on this earth by Allah Almighty for the guidens of mankind as a Quran Teacher, one of these sayings is mentioned here:
“O Prophet! Verily, we have sent you as a witness, and a possessor of glad tidings, and a Warner and as one who invites to Allah (alone) by His permission and as a lamp that gives light”. (33:45-46)
The aim and objective of Islamic School is to eliminate all non-Quranic ideas, beliefs, and practices common in present-day Islam, and change them with Quranic concepts based upon reason and rationale. Quran is essentially directed towards individuals who are in search of truth so that they can overcome the forces of secularism and be able to establish a pure Islamic society.
Human brain power only cannot solve life’s problems. Allah revelation is required for human guidance in the same way that vision requires light. Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) taught us all the solution of problems that is safely preserved in the Quran. This is the universal and permanent source of guidance for humanity for all time. Therefore, no further revelation, nor any prophet, nor any messenger from God can come now. The Quran is the final book of Allah (SWT) and Muhammad (SAWW) his last prophet and messenger.
Every state of the Quran is based on reason and knowledge, and its truths are clear of space and time.
The goal of the Deen (Islam) is to promote obedience to the laws of Allah Almighty by freeing human beings from obedience to other human beings. Without a proper understanding of the Islamic value system, there is small hope that the true goals, of Islamic school can be achieved. Islamic schools have a crucial role to play in providing concrete solutions and programs that will foster this understanding among students and in promoting the role and responsibility of the family in the process of Islamic tarbiyah.
Before Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W), the whole Arab was unaware about facts, education and knowledge and ignorant was everywhere. There are a few countable educated and learned people who used to go to other countries for trade. Mecca was the capital city and only seventeen people were there who had a little writing skill. So the fact is before Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W), Arab society was unaware of any educational activities and out of Arab, education was only limited to some selected people.
First five verses of Holy Quran proved the importance of education. Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) was a best teacher in the world, even he (SAWW) hadn’t attended any classes from any institute but You (PBUH)proved to a best teacher. People of Arab before You were uneducated and ignorant but due to your closeness not only they get educated but in their leadership, such movement started who became a source of light for spreading education and still exists.
Sayings of Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W)
1) Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) said ” I have been sent as a teacher”.
2) ” Getting Education is an obligation for both man and women”.
3) ” Seek knowledge from your birth to your grave”.
4) “Achieve knowledge, even if you have to go to China”.
You always used to pray ” O’Allah , Increase my knowledge”.
The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was a teacher not only for Muslims but the whole of human beings. Holy Prophet (SAWW) was also a Quran Teacher, because he (SAWW) have taught us a message of Allah. In Islam teachers have moe respect, we should respect the teachers even he is School teacher or Quran teacher.
Quran learning is the only way to clear the concepts of Islam, without learning Quran (one can Learn Quran online too) people can’t understand the message of the Holy Quran. There are a lot of confusions and misunderstandings about Islam, the anti Islamic powers make sure to make a huge out of small things. In these conditions it is very important that the Muslim Ummah turns back to the Holy Quran.
When it comes to the Masail (the Islamic problems), different scholars have their own opinion about them. One must cross check the opinion of the scholar with the Quran and Hadith, if the opinion is not matching with the teachings of the Quran and Hadith, it should not be considered reliable.
There is a frequently asked question that is it permissible to say Tahleel (Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah) and Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar) from after Soorat Al-Duha until Soorat Al-Naas. Now many scholars have different opinion about this question. Imam Ahmad Bin Hunbal considers this as Mustahab but the other imams disagree with this, they don’t consider it as Mustahab.
Many other scholars have a view point that this act is not proven by Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) and Sahaba (Radhiy Allaho Anhum). We must learn Quran and Hadith to know the truth and if there are limitations one can learn Quran online as well.
(All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Realms; and Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and companions)
